Today was my little man's last school visit before he begins his exciting adventure into education come September.
The silence in the house was deafening making me realise just how much i'm going to miss him but I must confess to feeling a little excited at the prospect of being FREE, free to do some of the things I've waited so long to do...........................................
Photography course
Study at home/college
Get an allotment
Bake more
Maybe even write the book I'm always threatening to write
This is just a small fraction of the long list I have of things I'd like to do but first I feel the need to to take a little time to find myself to try and work out exactly where i'd like my life to go.
As for my gorgeous girl, I'm finding it very hard to believe that having chosen her options she will be beginning to study for her GCSEs and in just over 2 years she will be beginning her own exciting journey into college.
At her age I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do but she already knows exactly what she wants and she is so determined and focused that I have no doubt she will achieve her goals and dreams.
Having achieved Bs, As and A*s in her end of year tests/exams and predicted the same for her GCSEs I really couldn't be more proud.
So here begins a New Chapter in our lives, a chapter of which excites me a little and I welcome with open arms!
For now though I/We are going to try and make the most of this awful British weather, enjoy the Summer Holidays and hopefully have some amazing adventures along the way!

Blimey Beki these kids grow up fast - when I first started blogging Jack was just a baby!!
Little Son has picked his GCSEs too and has a clear plan of what he wants to do after that as well!
Exciting times! My little girl had her last day in Nursery yesterday - she looks too small to be in full-time school come September!
I hope you get to do some of the things off your list, the photography course sounds good.

Ah, I remember my baby going off to 'big' school like it was yesterday - he is 25 now - how did that happen?!
Here's hoping the weather improves a bit soon before we get washed away!
My youngest is at his last week of juniors. Time just zips by so fast. It does take some adjustment, but it's also nice to have some time back, and you have so many interests, you'll find you really start to enjoy it. x
My kids are going to a new school this September, so I am nervous about that. I like your list. I should write one too. So exciting!
